Winstrol is an anabolic-androgenic solution used for intramuscular injection and a synthetic derivative of testosterone, but three times more potent than testosterone. It is based on stanozolol, an orally active synthetic anabolic steroid and a 17alpha-alkylated derivative of dihydrotestosterone.
It is used by athletes – both men and women – that need to be fast and strong but need minimal added weight. Such that, Winstrol’s benefits are for cutting cycles and it is often used pre-contests by athletes who are looking to acquire a dry and hard physique. The advantages of using Winstrol are: removal of fluid retention in the body, a slight increase in appetite, increases endurance, and actively burns fat. Moreover, it is potent at temporarily suppressing Sex Hormone Binding Globule (SHBG), thereby Winstrol liberates the free testosterone to make men feel better.
The injectable treatment is preferred to the detriment of the oral version because it is directed to the circulatory system. Therefore, Winstrol has more time to act before the liver destroys it. At the same time, the negative effects on the liver are diminished. However, Winstrol injection is more painful than other injectable steroids.
The good news is that Winstrol doesn`t develop estrogenic side effects. Despite the 5 alpha reduction of the solution, androgenic side effects tend to appear depending on the genetics of each athlete:
- cardiovascular diseases;
- toxicity for the liver;
- low male balding;
- acne and oily skin;
- soft tissue damage – aches and tendon ruptures;
- lowers the HDL ( high-density lipoprotein) cholesterol and increseases the LDL (low-density lipoprotein) cholesterol.
- Female athletes may suffer from irreversible virilizing effects, such as body hair growth and voice deepening.
